If your kitty or rabbit needs medication immediately that we do not stock, and is available at a local pharmacy, we will gladly call in the prescription to your pharmacy of choice or provide you with a written prescription.

Please note, federal law requires that a pet has been examined by a Veterinarian to be eligible to receive a PRESCRIPTION medication. Federal law also requires an annual physical exam by a Veterinarian for long term prescriptions (longer than 12 months). Where legally allowed, some re-fills for ongoing or long-term medical conditions can be processed without an exam, providing there is no current requirement for additional testing or re-assessment of the patient to confirm the medication dose is still correct or that the health of the patient has not changed such that the medication may no longer be appropriate. These requests will be dealt with on a case by case basis and will be decided upon at the discretion of a doctor.
